Every program follows our curriculums and philosophies: emergent curriculum, the Reggio Emilia approach, executive-function development, and Alberta's Flight framework.
Braineer Academy's "Reindeer" classroom is designed for preschoolers over 3 years old, with full-day preschool learning and before/after care. Subsidy and flexible hours are available for parents.
We adopt the key concepts of emergent curriculums, the Reggio Emilia approach, executive-function development, and follow the Alberta Early Learning Flight curriculum.
Braineer Academy's "Pioneer" classroom is designed for kindergarteners turning 5 years old by December of the school year. The class is taught by an Alberta Education certified teacher with the Alberta Kindergarten Curriculum and Braineer's unique brain-building curriculum. AM and PM options are available.
We adopt the key concepts of emergent curriculums, the Reggio Emilia approach, executive-function development, and follow the Alberta Education Kindergarten Statement.
The Braineer Kindergarten Enhancement program gives kindergarteners extracurricular learning to enhance their learning and school readiness, including: the Letterland curriculum for early phonics skills, Singapore math "Dimensions Math" preschool version, ScratchJr coding projects, and the Reggio Emilia approach for creative art. AM and PM options are available.
Braineer Academy's "Pioneer" classroom becomes school-age before and after care outside school hours. Afterschool activities include extracurricular learning activities, play-based activities, and social activities for the mixed age group to learn, play and grow.
At Braineer before & after school care, we want students to develop autonomy. Students build skills in goal identification, time management and organization, implementation of plans, self-assessment, decision-making and adapting to change. They become autonomous while working on things that interest them, with the right amount of support and guidance from our educators.
Our focus: making children more curious, independent and interested in learning.

There are limited spaces for a separate online registration & payment of PD days, Fall Break, Winter Break, & Spring Break.
Closed on: New Year's Day, Alberta Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Civic Day, Labour Day, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, and Christmas Day. Educators' professional development days: check the Parent Calendar.
